Airbus Helicopters H160 is a medium-twin helicopter developed by Airbus Helicopters. It was first flown in June 2015 and is scheduled to enter service in 2020. The H160 is designed to replace the Dauphin and AS365 families of helicopters. The H160 is powered by two Safran Aneto-1E turboshaft engines, each with a maximum power output of 1,300 kW (1,740 hp). The helicopter has a maximum takeoff weight of 5,800 kg (12,800 lb) and a range of 475 nautical miles (880 km). H160 features a number of new technologies, including a fly-by-wire control system, a glass cockpit, and a four-axis autopilot. The helicopter is also equipped with a number of safety features, including a crash-resistant fuselage, a dual hydraulic system, and an emergency landing gear. Airbus H160 is available in a variety of configurations, including a passenger transport, a search and rescue, and an offshore oil and gas support helicopter. The helicopter is expected to be used by a variety of operators, including civil, military, and parapublic organizations.
