Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint was a two-door coupé introduced at the 1954 Geneva Motor Show. Designed by Paolo Martin, it was the first mass-produced Alfa Romeo to feature a double overhead camshaft engine. The Giulietta Sprint was initially powered by a 1.3 L twin-cam engine producing 60 bhp. In 1956, the engine was enlarged to 1.6 L and tuned to produce 70 bhp. In 1960, the engine was further enlarged to 1.6 L and fuel injection was added, increasing power to 90 bhp.
Giulietta Sprint was a critical and commercial success, helping to re-establish Alfa Romeo’s reputation as a builder of high-performance sports cars. The model was produced until 1962, with a total of over 14,000 units built. Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint has been praised for its stylish design, agile handling, and powerful engine.
