Audi Coupé (8B) is a two-door, four-seater coupé manufactured and marketed by Audi between 1988 and 1996. It was introduced at the 1988 Geneva Motor Show as the successor to the Audi Coupé (Typ 89), and was available in both front-wheel drive and quattro four-wheel drive configurations.
Audi Coupé (8B) was powered by a range of four-cylinder and five-cylinder petrol engines, with the top-of-the-range model being the 2.3-litre 20v Turbocharged engine that produced 220 horsepower. The engine was mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. The Audi Coupé (8B) could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds and had a top speed of 149 mph.
Audi Coupé (8B) was a popular choice for driving enthusiasts and was praised for its handling, performance, and comfort. It was also a sales success, with over 170,000 units sold during its production run.
