BTR-4E is an eight-wheeled, amphibious infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) designed and manufactured by the Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau (KMDB) in Ukraine. It is an upgraded version of the BTR-4, and it is equipped with a variety of new features and improvements.
BTR-4E is powered by a 3TD diesel engine that produces 500 horsepower. It has a maximum speed of 110 kilometers per hour (68 miles per hour) on the road and 10 kilometers per hour (6.2 miles per hour) in water. BTR-4E is armed with a 30-millimeter cannon, a 7.62-millimeter machine gun, and a smoke grenade launcher. It also has a roof-mounted turret that can be armed with a variety of weapons, including a 30-millimeter cannon, a 12.7-millimeter machine gun, or a guided missile launcher. The BTR-4E has a crew of three and can carry up to 7 passengers. It is equipped with a variety of armor protection, including frontal armor that can withstand 30-millimeter armor-piercing rounds. BTR-4E has been exported to a number of countries, including Ukraine, Iraq, and Jordan. It is a versatile IFV that is capable of performing a variety of missions, including troop transport, fire support, and reconnaissance.
