Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept 2009 was a mid-engine sports car concept that was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show. It was designed to preview the next-generation Corvette, which was released in 2014.
The Stingray Concept was powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produced 450 horsepower. This engine was mated to a seven-speed manual transmission. The Stingray Concept could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and had a top speed of 190 mph. Stingray Concept was a striking car, with a long, low profile and a wide stance. It featured a number of design cues that were inspired by the original Corvette Stingray, which was released in 1963. These cues included a long hood, a short rear deck, and a pair of round headlights.
