Chrysler Turbine 1963 – 3D Model
Formats: MAX, FBX, OBJ
Chrysler Turbine Car is an experimental two-door hardtop coupe powered by a turbine engine and manufactured by Chrysler from 1963 to 1964. The bodywork was constructed by Italian design studio Carrozzeria Ghia and Chrysler completed the final assembly in Detroit. A total of 50 identical Turbine Cars were built between October 1963 and October 1964. They were all two-door hardtop coupes, with air-over-oil power brakes and power steering. Chrysler Turbine Car was powered by a 3.0-liter turbine engine that produced 170 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. The engine was mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The Chrysler Turbine Car could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 10 seconds and had a top speed of 120 mph. The Chrysler Turbine Car was a technological marvel, but it was not without its drawbacks. The turbine engine was expensive to produce, and it was not as fuel-efficient as a conventional piston engine. Despite its drawbacks, the Chrysler Turbine Car was a significant achievement in automotive engineering. It demonstrated the potential of turbine engines for automotive applications, and it helped to pave the way for the development of more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles.
