Ferrari 250 GTO is a grand touring sports car that was produced by Ferrari from 1962 to 1964. It is considered to be one of the most iconic and valuable cars in the world.
The 250 GTO was designed to compete in the FIA’s Group 3 Grand Touring Car category. It was powered by a 3.0-liter V12 engine that produced 296 horsepower. This engine was mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The 250 GTO could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds and had a top speed of 174 mph.
250 GTO was a highly successful racing car. It won the FIA’s International Championship for GT Manufacturers in 1962, 1963, and 1964. The car also won a number of other prestigious races, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and the Targa Florio.
Only 36 Ferrari 250 GTOs were produced. Today, the cars are worth millions of dollars. In 2014, a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold for $38.1 million, making it the most expensive car ever sold at auction.
