Ford Falcon (FG) V8 Supercars were the last generation of Ford Falcon race cars that competed in the V8 Supercars Championship. They were introduced in 2014 and raced until the end of the 2015 season. The FG Falcons were based on the FG Ford Falcon road car, which was introduced in 2008. They were powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produced 600 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. The engines were built by Ford Performance Racing (FPR) and were based on the engine used in the Ford Mustang GT500.
FG Falcons were raced by a number of teams, including FPR, Prodrive Racing Australia, and Dick Johnson Racing. They were driven by some of the biggest names in V8 Supercars, including Mark Winterbottom, Chaz Mostert, and Fabian Coulthard.
FG Falcons were successful in V8 Supercars, winning the championship in 2014 and 2015. They also won the Bathurst 1000 in 2014 and 2015.
Ford FG Falcons were the last generation of Ford Falcon race cars to compete in V8 Supercars. They were replaced by the Ford Mustang GT in 2016.
