Holden Commodore Touring Car is a race car that was built by Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) for use in the Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC). It was based on the Holden Commodore VR series production car, and was introduced in 1993.
Commodore Touring Car was powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produced 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. The engine was mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Commodore Touring Car could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds and had a top speed of 180 mph. The Commodore Touring Car was a successful race car, winning the ATCC championship in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999. It was also driven to victory in the Bathurst 1000 endurance race in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998.
Holden Commodore Touring Car was retired from racing at the end of the 1999 season. It was replaced by the Holden Commodore VT series race car.
