Honda RS125R is a 125cc two-stroke Grand Prix racing motorcycle manufactured by Honda Racing Corporation for racing purposes only. It was introduced in 1980 and was produced until 2011. RS125R was a dominant force in the 125cc class for many years, winning nine World Championships. It was ridden by some of the greatest riders in the history of Grand Prix motorcycle racing, including Loris Capirossi, Dirk Raudies, Haruchika Aoki, Emilio Alzamora, Dani Pedrosa, Andrea Dovizioso and Thomas Lüthi. The RS125R was powered by a 125cc two-stroke engine that produced around 45 horsepower. It was mated to a six-speed transmission. The RS125R was a lightweight and agile motorcycle that was well-suited for racing.
Honda RS125R was a popular choice for privateers as well as factory teams. It was a reliable and relatively affordable motorcycle that could be raced successfully at a variety of levels. Honda RS125R was a significant motorcycle in the history of Grand Prix motorcycle racing. It was a dominant force in the 125cc class for many years and helped to launch the careers of some of the greatest riders in the sport.
