Lincoln Continental Presidential State Car was a custom-built limousine that was used by President Richard Nixon and his family. It was the first presidential limousine to be equipped with a bulletproof roof and windows. The car was also equipped with a variety of other security features, including a siren, a public address system, and a tear gas dispenser. The limousine was built by Ford Motor Company and was based on the 1969 Lincoln Continental. It was 21 feet long and weighed 6,000 pounds. The car was powered by a 462-cubic-inch V8 engine that produced 340 horsepower.
The limousine was painted black and had a blue interior. The interior was equipped with a variety of features, including a television, a bar, and a refrigerator. The car also had a special compartment for the president’s nuclear briefcase.
1969 Lincoln Continental Presidential State Car was retired in 1977. It is now on display at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda, California.
