Progetto M35 mod 46 is an Italian medium tank that was developed in the early 1950s. It was designed by Fiat-Ansaldo and was intended to be a more powerful and better-protected version of the M4 Sherman tank. The M35 mod 46 was armed with a 90mm main gun and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun. It was also equipped with a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun. The tank was powered by a 420-horsepower Fiat V-12 engine. It had a top speed of 31 mph and a range of 280 miles.
M35 mod 46 was never mass-produced. Only a few prototypes were built. The tank was considered to be too expensive and complex for the Italian Army.
