It was based on the Subaru Impreza WRX STi road car, and it was designed to compete in the World Rally Championship (WRC). The 2006 Impreza STi WRC was powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four engine that produced 300 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque. The engine was mated to a six-speed sequential manual transmission. The Impreza STi WRC could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and had a top speed of 200 mph.
