Volvo 480 is a sports coupe with a hatchback that was produced by Volvo Cars between 1986 and 1995. The 480 was the first front-wheel drive car produced by Volvo and was designed by Dutchman John de Vries, who took inspiration from the Volvo P1800 ES. Volvo 480 was available in three trim levels: S, ES, and SE. The base model came with power windows, central locking, an alarm, and power steering. The ES and SE models added a trip computer with a fuel gauge. The Volvo 480 was powered by a 1.7-liter Renault engine that produced 109 horsepower. The engine was mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The 480 could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 9.5 seconds and had a top speed of 115 mph. Volvo 480 was discontinued in 1995 after a production run of 80,000 units.
Volvo 480 was a popular car in its day and is still considered a classic by many. If you are looking for a unique and stylish car with a powerful engine, the Volvo 480 is a good option. However, it is important to be aware of the car’s shortcomings before making a purchase.
