Yamaha YZF-R1 2014 is a sport motorcycle that was produced by Yamaha from 2012 to 2014. It is the fifth generation of the R1, and it was designed to be more powerful, agile, and comfortable than the previous generation. The R1 2014 is powered by a 998cc inline-four engine that produces 182 horsepower and 87 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. The R1 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 186 mph.
R1 2014 has a lightweight aluminum frame and a fully adjustable suspension. The motorcycle also has a number of electronic rider aids, including traction control, anti-lock brakes, and an adjustable power delivery system. Yamaha R1 2014 was a critical and commercial success. It was praised for its performance, handling, and technology. The motorcycle won numerous awards, including Motorcycle of the Year from Cycle World and Motor Trend. R1 2014 was also the first Yamaha R1 to be equipped with the Crossplane Crankshaft, which Yamaha claims provides more linear torque delivery and improved handling. The Crossplane Crankshaft is a unique design that has the crankpins arranged at 90-degree intervals instead of the traditional 180-degree intervals. This results in a more even power delivery throughout the rev range.
